JOB RESPONSIBILITIESÂ Â
- Arrange resources, assign daily tasks, conduct workplace safety inspections, and assess staff attitudes and work performance.
- Ensure that workers complete tasks according to work instructions (WI) or standard operating procedures (SOP). Provide basic counselling to workers experiencing issues such as lateness, wastage of water/electricity, conflicts, and lack of cooperation.
- Assist in training staff to improve their skills in areas such as calculation, leadership, and reading.
- Coordinate workflows between departments and work areas.
- Assist with administrative duties, including maintaining files, records, and all required documentation.
- Ensure that workers maintain cleanliness on all levels of the building.
- Ensure the effective implementation of all safety procedures to create a safe working environment for employees.
- Support staff in resolving technical issues encountered during any processes.
- Conduct meetings to discuss safety, staff performance, challenges, and gather feedback from the team.
- Be able to work overtime to manage the completion of daily schedule orders.
- Serve as a backup for NAV transactions.
- Assist the R&D department in any new product testing or trial runs.
- Contribute ideas for departmental improvements to increase efficiency.
- Assist with any ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department (HOD).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum diploma or higher in any field.
- Diploma with 2 years of experience in the chemical/paint manufacturing industry.
- Basic Microsoft skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with MRP or other manufacturing operation systems.
- Knowledge of filing and document control.
- Experience with ISO 90001 & ISO 14001.
- Problem-solving and motivation skills.
- Ability to work in an environment that may involve exposure to fumes, chemicals, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Physical stamina is necessary to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
