Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix 2023

The heart-pounding roar of motorcycle engines, the smell of burnt rubber, and the electrifying atmosphere – it could only mean one thing: the 8th round of the Malaysian Cub Prix by Petronas, one of Malaysia’s most prestigious motorcycle racing events. Samurai Paint, a renowned name in the automotive paint industry especially among motorcyclists, participated in this high-speed, adrenaline-pumping event.

Petronas Sprinta Yamaha CKJ Racing racer Akid Aziz is getting closer to winning his first CP150 class championship after winning the eighth round of the 2023 Petronas Malaysia Cub Prix Championship at the Iskandar Puteri Circuit.

Akid, who used the Yamaha Y15ZR, collected 146 points from eight rounds, challenged by Azroy Hakeem Anuar of the Honda Yuzy Estremo Team (115 points) and Md. Akid’s teammate Ahmad Afif Amran (114 points).

Akid hopes to maintain momentum for the remaining two races at the Tangkak Racetrack, here on 21 and 22 October and Batu Kawan, Penang on 25 and 26 November.

His teammate Fareez Afeez Abd Rahman came in second while Ahmad Syukran Aizat Md Yusoff of Tekhne Yamaha came in third.
